Experience Strategist & Product Designer, System Thinking and Sense Making
Fifteen years designing at the intersection of financial services, pharmaceutical data, and product systems. This is where I build things that don't fit inside a Figma file — tools, experiments, and ideas at the edge of design craft and engineering.
Translate px values into coherent rem tokens. Audit type scales, analyze line-height quality by text size, and generate grid-snapped spacing — all against your configured base and grid unit.
Connect a Figma file and get a live audit of your variable library — orphaned tokens, naming inconsistencies, missing semantic layers.
Define a base unit and generate a complete spacing scale — with semantic aliases, usage guidelines, and CSS output ready for your design token pipeline.
I've spent fifteen years designing complex systems — from pharmaceutical data syndication at Syneos Health to enterprise financial tooling at BNY Pershing. The thread running through all of it: making hard things legible, and making systems that designers and developers can actually reason about.
I hold an MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons NY, which is where I started taking the engineering side seriously. Before all of this, I was a painter and musician — which is probably why I care so much about the craft layer that most design systems work ignores.
This lab is where I build the tools I wish existed. Some become products. Most become something I learn from. All of them are made in public. Find me on LinkedIn or see the full portfolio at boceto.co.
